About

My name is Faizan Khan and I am a student at Missouri State University. I am entering my third year and am studying Computer Information Systems (CIS) and have plans on becoming a software engineer. Since I was young I have had a great interest and curiosity in computers and technology. Growing up with the Internet and seeing how software has transformed in the last 10 years further taps into this interest of mine. Outside of school, I dedicate a set amount of time of focus and work in order to learn more about computer programming, that way I can further improve my skills and prepare myself for a career down the road. Below you will see some of the projects I have worked on lately. I am genuinely passionate about computers and programming - specifically web development. The fact that if I have an idea on a project and can build it however I like, is something fun and exciting. I learn a lot during the process and it helps build my problem solving skills.

Aside from school and programming, I am someone with a lot of different hobbies and interests. I enjoy archery, reading, and weight lifting. I am a avid supporter of Liverpool FC.

Projects

Roid Ragerz

A website for this fictional product loosely based off Its Always Sunny. This website was contructed using HTML,CSS, and Javascript (ES6) as well as Node.js in the backend. The Stripe API was implemented in order to process payments for the store. This was also my first project where I used Git to track my progress

Pomodoro App

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for 'tomato', after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student.

An Overly Done Tip Calculator

A completely unnessary website for those times when you don't exactly know how much to tip your waiter, barber, Uber driver, bartender, etc. Don't even bother using your calculator on your phone. Just use this dumb website that I built.
